(dec 1) its really christmas season naaaaaaa! check out this terrible traffic from magallanes fly over going into edsa northbound. good luck to me talaga with my daily commute from paranaque to qc! waaaah! :-o today was an extremely productive day and i'm sooo happy! got to do my run today, got to finally have my nails done, both manicure and pedicure, after almost a month of no nail tropics visit, the longest i've ever gone! got to buy a few christmas gifts, got to do groceries.. and now headed to work! i love, love, love productive days!!!! :-) my worry is though is that its only the start of december and i've already gained like five pounds! waah! i don't weigh myself at all, except i gauge it on how round my face is, and how my pants fit me. my pilates instructor said i lost weight since my london trip, but i feel i've been gaining since! :-( i believe in going into the christmas season on the more payat side, so when you go through all the holiday eating, you're back to your normal. eh now that i'm over my normal, i'll be super round na by the time its new year! aaaack! hahahahaa!

(dec 2) african peg lang ang hairstyle!  first time for us to try this on snn! step one.. to braid the hair in thin parts, all around the head, starting from the crown as much as possible. don't put product on the hair before braiding. after braiding, press on each braid top to bottom with a flat iron. keep for around twenty minutes, release the braids, then spray with light hairspray. keep down or pull back into a half ponytail. tadaaaa! the crimped look without using a crimper! ang galing ni ate ester! she's the one who does my hair every snn. hi everyone! its a super full thursday as usual. tonight is actually the trade launch of abs cbn and i was supposed to rush after snn friday taping. to picc to go live on location for snn. but they decided it might be too late so best to do snn in studio instead. exciting shows being launched! there's lol with luis, under direk lauren's unit. then the dramas like green rose and sabel. then there's scq kids under the talk unit as well! these are exciting times for abs because so many new talents and new combination of talents are being launched!

(dec 3) its a corporate hosting day for me today! i'm here now in the holding area and behind me you see my handler jamie aka jamielicious! :-) tonight i'm hosting like an awards night for sari sari store owners, or convenience store owners, owners of mini marts, that are partners of the company hosting this event. its so nice meeting all these people who work so hard for their smes, small to medium enterprises, and more so nicer to see them being rewarded and awarded for their hardwork! i can see how big their smiles are, how happy and fulfilled they are shaking the hand of their big bosses who flew in all the way from germany and sweden. i also love it how foreign bosses make an effort in their speeches and pep talks, opening with a greeting like 'magandang gabi' and ending with 'maraming salamat'! nakakatuwa how they make an effort to reach out, and of course its loudly applauded by the audience! so sweet also because after the event, their super, super big boss approached me to congratulate me for a job well done hosting daw. aaw, nakakataba ng puso at nakakawala ng pagod.. :-) i actually apologized to him because a bulk of my spiels and adlibs were in tagalog and so they weren't able to understand it.. he said not at all, he saw how the crowd was so engaged daw, and he felt i was in command of the whole program. its extremely fulfilling and humbling to hear comments like that after a day's work right? i hope we all go an extra step in commending people for a job well done, because that simple gesture goes a long way! :-)

(dec 4) gooo ateneoooo!!!! ") words cannot express how proud i am to be an atenean! woohooo! 'where the brave blue eagles fly', as it says here on the stage. i'm here now at the high school gym of ateneo de manila for the 2010 grand alumni homecoming, hosted by the jubilarians, batch '85! wow. so daunting! i'm hosting for an event where in when i was two years old, the attendees here were high school and college graduates! hahaha! this is one time that i feel very, very young!  its so cool because every decade is represented. as in alumni from all the way back in the 50s. each decade has a production number! as in imagine, all the different music from different eras, may song and dance number! of course its not a career production number, just a fun, drunken act! haha! ang saya! i love old music. from all the beatles, the beach boys, the retro music and the 80s music. highlight of the evening was when arnel pineda sang 'shout' and everyone stood up to go nearer and sing along! even if oldies na to, imagine the party ended past midnight na, as in like 1AM! and reliving their high school days, i joined some titos and titas cross over to another tito's house, as in lakad lang from high school ah, to have arroz caldo midnight snack! ang saya saya! even if they're all decades older, i never feel left out with them!

(dec 5) check out my new look!!!! i want you to see it first before i launch it on snn!!! a pixie cut by alex carbonell!!!!! how do you like it?! i look so different and i feel so different too! amazing how hair can change how you look and feel and act talaga! plus my stylist ange paired this hair with a long printed gown from meg clothing, i feel really vintage right now! haha! very carey mulligan ang peg ko! when i went into the studio talaga, naloka silang lahaaaat! hahaha! our boss sir lui, si tito boy, direk arnel, they were so shocked! panggulat lang naman ito, so people will talk about it and be shocked lang. but don't worry.. I didn't cut my hair.. kayo lang makakaalam nitom but this is temporary. its just a wig. i'm using it for maybe two or three days on snn.. pang shock lang talaga! to change it up also so people don't get bored! some of our staff really love it, some like my long hair better. it's different in a photo so watch out for it na lang on tv tomorrow night to see how you feel about it. haha! what do you think of it? like it? or like it not?

(dec 6) i finally passed by the drive thru starbucks! woohooooo! i'm so happy! sosyaaaaal! hahaha! the first few times i saw a drive thru was in california, then in canada. from then pa lang i super wished they had it here in manila for people with no drivers like me who find it a hassle to park! ang saya saya saya! haha, babaw ba? no really, simple pleasures lang in life make me so happy!!! it didn't take so long ha! as in the same time it takes for you to wait in an actual starbucks, that's the same it takes in the drive thru. love ittt! i ordered a hot chocolate and banana bread. my head wasn't so hot tuloy in traffic kasi i had my goodies. its located right beside the complex of s&r. i had a very, very productive day today, so happy! actually full of impromptu meetings, but not work meetings, life meetings! one was liz, and the amazing gang badoy, founder of rock ed. what a wise, wise woman she is! learned so much from her in one afternoon! she wants to push for a project where liz and i can help empower young girls to know more about themselves and know about their rights. im so excited for it to start!

(dec 7) prepping for snn! :-) ang daaaaaaming naloko ng pixie hair cut ko!!!! but i must say i expected to get much more bad comments than what i actually got! on average, of a hundred tweet comments i got on my hair, only 5 to 8 were negative! the rest love it! i'm sooo happy it worked!!!! :-) i super don't have the guts to cut my hair this short yet, so i'm so happy alex is in my life to help me achieve this hair if only for a while! :-p i got the sweetest text from my friend and supermodel rissa mananquil, who also goes to alex for her hair, and she was sooo shocked to see me with short hair, but she loved, loved, loved it! so many other friends from abs loved it too! i'm so touched! :-) alex and i decided to name this wig 'carey', because its inspired by carey mulligan, as seen in the special edition vogue best dressed 2010 issue! :-) had a super productive day again today, went around the mall to go christmas shopping again with liz. a little creativity and willpower helps you find all these super cool gifts! we both are looking to give away stuff connected to traveling, or stuff for the home.. so, so, so hard to go christmas shopping i swear! and so magastos! how's your shopping coming along? :-)

(dec 8) guess who's back?! back again?? friends, meet dante!!!! dante is my suuuper good friend who's back from new york! woohoooo! after almost ten years of not being able to go home to the philippines, dante's papers were finally fixed, and after so long he's finally home! woohooo! so yes, the only times i had to spend with dante as friends is when i'm in new york! which is not that often right? thanks to technology, its easier to keep in touch! dante is pure pinoy. moved to the states a decade ago, works there as a professional tennis instructor at a nice health club in manhattan. grabe the last time i was in new york, he super, super took care of me! took me around to the nice hole in the wall restaurants and hang outs, so its my turn to take him out here in manila! so i met up with liz and i also met with dante at the new restaurant lounge of tim in makati, robot! i super love this place! the interiors are so nice! this ceiling you see behind us in the photo? that's made of 12,000 lightbulbs. can you imagine that?! all not lit of course, just for design purposes. everything is white and metal and stone and concrete, it looks so clean! plus, they have magican bartenders.. how cool is that?! if you're looking for somewhere to go out in the makati area, try robot! it's where the old wasabi used to be, along makati ave.

(dec 9) wearing a white printed draped dress from meg! isn't it soo classy? love ittt! how are you all? its a busy, busy, tiring, tiring thursday! since christmas is coming up, the double tapings have begun! taped ten episodes, that's two weeks worth of tfc connect earlier.. and i swear.. hulas na hulas ako! hahahahaha. my throat is really my weakness so after every episode, i make sure to drink water right away so my throat wont dry. december is so busy, bawal mawalan ng boses! hahahaha. after tfc taping, i had a bit of time to hang out in the tv prod floor, because the set up of cinema news wasn't ready yet. and there... i bumped into ate kris and baby james! sooo cute! its actually really my dream to have a photo taken with baby james but i'm too shy! its mariel that's close to them, me im not, so im too shy to ask! i told lang bimby congratulations on his commercial because super guapo niya dun! ate kris naman thinks my pixie cut is a super fun gimmick. she also texted me saying thank you for the nice things i said about her daw when we aired the ted failon story! sabi ko, of course, forever!!!!

(dec 10) off to the studio 23 christmas party slash taping for the christmas special! wearing a dark red polka dot chiffon long sleeve top, h&m statement silver necklace, fitted dark jeans from forever 21, dark red suede pumps from ysl.. with matching dark red lips! christmas na christmas sa pagka-red! hahahahaha! but its sosyal red naman so okay lang! haha. do watch out for the studio 23 christmas special, its airing 10 to 11PM on december 24, of course on studio 23! y speak is six years old this year, next year we'll be seven, and we're just so thankful to all our bosses for the support, because they've kept the show alive for all these years! as much as I wish that we'd be back on a once a week format, instead of the monthly specials we're doing now, i'm happy that our show is still alive. I've always believed that y speak, more than a program people watch regularly, its a brand. its become a brand, an image, that people see as youth empowerment. like when you say y speak, you think about the youth, and that's what matters most to me, i'm so happy we were able to create such a brand, and i hope we love on fopr a very, very long time! please help us make that happen!

(dec 11) ho, ho, ho! merry christmas from team dosh!!!! :-) its my annual barkada christmas party and every year we have a theme! we've done chinese, pimps and hoes, military, among others, and this year our theme is 50s! everyone came all decked out, its so much fun!!!! :-) its sad though that we aren't complete, we're missing seven couples, five are based abroad, and two are on vacation.. all in all if you put our whole barkada together including husbands and wives, boyfriends and girlfriends, we'll probably reach 40! wild! hahahaha! but really, its so much fun. i guess its the same as a family na madaming magkakapatid. :-p for this party, we're only around 25.. only, pero ang dami?! haha! games for this year included quiz night, which my team won! yaay! categories were movies and tv, fashion, team dosh, and general knowledge. my competitive spirit came out talaga! haha! plus we had bring me with a twist, you call on a vague category, like 'the biggest', 'the smoothest', 'the highest', then each team sends a representative of who they think might fit. when all representatives are in front, you reveal! biggest stomach, smoothest forehead, highest leg kick, haha, then everyone has to be game to measure up! try it in your parties. merry christmas! :-)

(dec 12) before anything else, i would like to share with all of you that today is the birthday of someone super important in my life, someone i consider to be one third of me, the other third being my brother.. today is the birthday of my beloved sister aissa!!!!!! :-) it pains me that she's half way around the world from me, but i know she's happy and i know in spirit we're all together as a family. :-) my sister means so, so, so much to me!!!! and i cannot believe that in exactly one week i will be reunited with her.. yes! my sister is coming home for christmas and by next sunday i will be with her! i'm dying of excitement!!!! and not only that.. aside from my sister, guess who's coming home?! roco!!!!!! :-):-):-):-) after five long years, my brother and sister in law, and of course now there's my adorable godson roco, they're all coming home! WORDS CANNOT EXPRESS MY HAPPINESS AND EXCITEMENT, I TELL YOU!!!! WAAAAH!!!! :-) but first.. another major waaaah moment. guess who i got a christmas gift from today?! guess who?? my idol! i got a gift from mrs. korina sanchez-roxas!!!! my goodness i'm so starstruck! never did i think in my wildest dreams that i would get gifts from miss korina or ate kris, but here i am, i got gifts from two powerful, inspiring women! i'm speechless! :-) but i really wait before opening so i don't know what it is yet! :-p

(dec 13) wine, cheese, chorizo, and amazing girl friends.. what more can you ask for??!! this is happiness!!! these are girls i hold dear to my heart, marion my best friend from high school, rina one of my super good friends from college, and trisia, one my my good friends i met after college but a close colleague to both marion and rina that's why we're all friends now! we all make it a point to get together once a month to catch up and do some serious girl talk and life talks! its tradition because we always meet up in exactly the same restaurant for dinner, and exactly the same bar for wine, exactly the same places where we order exactly the same things! yes, every month, every single time! hahaha! i got some serious christmas shopping done today.. i'm sooo happy! it really helps when you have to give. and it helps me when i organise that list into a for the day list where you strategically list all the shops you have to go to that day and check it off one by one! it also helps me when each group of gifts have a deadline, like these certain gifts by this date, by that date, so that you know which to prioritise, good luck to us all! waah!

(dec 14) its time for the abs cbn christmas special! i'm wearing a gold serpentina gown by joel escober, encrusted belt from korea, and jeweled earrings by nicole whisenhunt. its my honor to be introducing a number this year, doing my spiel with the one and only mr. boy abunda!!! our part will air on part one of the special, and we are introducing the broadway number. i got so senti today because every single christmas special since i started going to christmas specials, i go with mariel! aaaaaw.. since its always full in the venue, mariel and i do make up at her place, then ride together going to the venue! this is the first time i'm going alone and i'm feeling super senti! super miss mariel!!!! got to talk to her earlier today actually, and we're hoping to fix dinner soon. i was super dyahe my make up artist, rb, also did ma'am charo's make up. and since rb set up in the vip dressing room, i was made up in the special dressing room as well! kalurkssss! hiya ako pero so thankful as well! merry christmas everyone!

(dec 15) this is... the ms. abs-cbn 2010 pageant!!!! ang saya sayaaaaaaa! a dozen candidates, in studio ten, as in the studio where they hold asap xv, with the whole tv production as the audience, with all our bosses watching, including no less than tv head tita cory vidanes, president ma'am charo santos concio and chairman sir gabby lopez!!!! bigatinnnn! hahaha! naisip ko talaga, grabe lakas ng fighting spirit ng mga gay sisters sa tv prod, nakabalandra naka swimwear sa harap ng mga bossing! hahahaha! yes, the picture i'm sending is of then during the swimsuit portion! so cute! there was also a national costume portion, and evening gown portion! i'm here with my talk unit family, full support for three of our candidates, mikee, allan and odie! ang sayaaaa! i'm here also on special participation, para may gimmick si mikee, sa question and answer portion, may interpreter! at ako yun! hahahahaha! very joke time lang! ang saya saya talaga! tawa ako ng tawa dito kay chokoleit, ej and mj hosting the program! my favorite laugh trip quote of the night... 'this candidate believes.. na kung kaya nilang gawin, sila na ang gumawa!' hahahaha!
