(august 1) today is definitely a day of mourning for the whole nation.. i got up at 6AM even just on three hours of sleep, and couldn't go back to sleep because i was hooked on watching all the coverage on tv. from abs to anc to cnn to dzmm. we're all on call and full alert to bring you the latest coverage. done with our e live special for today. we are also going live later from 11PM to 5AM for the vigil and continuing coverage. my shift is from 1 to 3AM with mariel. all the way til tomorrow, the buzz will be airing a special tribute. full force talaga ang news and entertainment units for the complete and comprehensive coverage of this moment in history. a great leader, woman, and mother, president cory is really someone worth looking up to.

(august 1.2) its so surreal to me that i'm at the wake of a former president of our country. it doesn't feel real at all! mariel, toni, and i decided to go all together to attend the wake of president cory. we all came in time for the 8PM mass today. the mood here in lsgh is just very, very peaceful! all the family members we greeted seemed at peace, just tired from lack of sleep, but all at peace. :-) sooo many vips attended like vp noli, fvr, all our abs bosses.. we saw ate kris and she was so sweet to be all smiles seeing all of us come together. mass was very solemn and meaningful. haaay. you know what, it makes me smile when i think that cory and ninoy have been in a tight embrace for like a whole day now. :-) rest in peace, and salamat president cory. :-)

(august 2) i hope you all wore yellow or maybe a yellow ribbon today. :-) hi everyone! majorly rested today after a very tiring day yesterday. did you watch the buzz today? graaabe. i think we were all crying with ate kris. her descriptive story telling of what happened, her anecdotes of touching and happy stories of her mom, the whole family's thank you to the filipino people.. mariel and i were texting each other the whole time while watching, we both were so touched! heard more supporters came today. if you haven't gone, i suggest you do, now na.. wake is on in lsgh til 4AM pa naman.. even if a lot of us never met her personally, she did so much for our country and our people, and don't you want to be part of saying thank you in your own little way? :-)

(august 3) LABAN!! lucky, lucky girl my sister is!! she works in a building right along ayala, so at noon today, her officemates and her rushed out to be part of history. she sent me this picture right away! she said there were shredded phonebook pages everywhere!! i only watched on tv and cried when i saw yellow balloons flying and yellow confetti falling from the sky!! what more the feeling of actually being there? my mom and i watched from home as she told me stories from the 80s about the coups and the rallies. its sad that a lot of the young ones don't know much about cory anymore, so do ask your parents to tell you stories about this great, great woman. :-) i posted a short blog on cory just now, timeline from saturday to today, on superbianca.blogspot.com

(august 4) check this out! vintage! while my mom and i were watching the whole cory coverage yesterday, my mom was feeling nostalgic so she started looking through her memorabilia from the 80s.. and she found this! a 'cory aquino for president pin'! as in from the 1986 snap elections! as in super kalawang na nung pin behind but still, its in great condition! so of course i just had to wear it today. amazing! i love it that my mom saved these cool kitschy things from growing up. :-) today i'm at a cover shoot for iq magazine. cute their concept, its just me lounging around the house, on the laptop, using my camera, very me lang. :-) hehehe. its a looooong day for me today! will text again later!

(august 4.2) THIS IS IT!!!!!!!! we're back at the pbb house!!!!!! there's mariel at the far right in blue and toni by the center in yellow and me in red here at the left! we're back home! back in our domain at our dressing room here in the pbb house!!!! really, words cannot express our excitement at this very moment! tonight is our pictorial for the third season of pinoy big brother!!!! WE ARE SOOO BACK! GAAAAH! sobra na itong excitement na ito! as in! we're in the pictorial, meaning, season three launch is drawing nearer and nearer! i must say, we three are unanimous that this is our favorite pictorial for pbb to date! as in we super made it career! all our outfits and all our looks! we love it! we can't wait for you to see it! wooooohooooo! pinoy big brother.. coming very, very soon!!!!! :-) :-) :-) :-)

(august 5) this is my view right now in the vip/media tent right beside the mausoleum where our dear president cory will be laid to rest. media, church, politicians, friends and family of cory, all here together in one tent. the funeral convoy left manila cathedral at around 1130AM, and security people are estimating that they will arrive here at 9PM! everyone here is sweaty, with muddy feet, hungry, have been standing for hours, damp from the rain, but everyone is just honored to be here, and part of this historic moment! its so touching. imagine. iba talaga kapag hindi bayad o pilit o ordered ang supporters. the compassion and love shown is real and true! today has been such a painful and beautiful day that i almost don't want it to end! its so painful that an icon had to pass away for us to be united, but beautiful that we all share a common passion for a true servant leader!

(august 5.2) what a day today has been. i'm literally around 20 metres from the casket of our former president. when the family was walking in, when she was being carried in, silence. everyone was silent. it was unlike anything i've ever experienced before. everyone was just either deep in prayer, in sadness, in thanksgiving, silent. while family and friends showered yellow flowers on the casket, everyone was singing in unison songs like 'pilipinas kong mahal', 'ave maria', 'hindi kita malilimutan'. it may have taken around eight hours and more for people to wait here at manila memorial, but being part of the moment was so worth it. allow me to share this historical moment with you in my special feature this saturday on entertainment live. :-)

(august 6) fullllll daaay! from tfc connect where i interviewed isiak, the big man from texas who sang ikaw na nga on wowowee.. to y speak where i taped spiels for our special cory tribute to be aired this saturday.. to cinema news where we got a statement from anne that sam has been there for here these part weeks.. aaw. :-) hi everyone! this is the structured beige and khaki top with khaki skirt both from meg, that i wore for y speak taping. gamit na gamit ko ang yellow ribbon pin ko! hehe. the whole nation is still on a cory high and i just am so happy that the four honor guards were given due credit and are now celebrities! hehe. i kept tweeting about my thoughts the whole of yesterday! everyone is really thinking about president cory, except for manila bulletin that seemed to be thinking of another president.

(august 7) welcome to barangay 310 day care center here in sta. cruz, manila! :-) today is our unicef turnover day!!!! finally, yaaay! to all those who donated through help kids learn project last year, this is finally it! :-) our two unicef eccd packages have been delivered to this day care center, and also barangay 155 in tondo. such a full, fulfilling morning! the kids were so, so excited to just get all the books, toys, and musical instruments from the package! a lot of these kids are very progressive. they memorize prayers, songs, exercises! will post a blog on it soon, to give proper thanks to all of you who donated. :-) thank you!! thank you so much for making the kids happy!!!!!! :-) unicef is so thankful to all of you!! :-):-)

(august 7.2) they do the y speak sign and i do the laban sign! meet jonti and jiggy, two of president cory's grandchildren! we at y speak are very thankful to jiggy for granting an exclusive one on one sit down interview only to y speak. thank you! :-) please, please watch our tribute to the mother of philippine democracy, president cory aquino, tomorrow, that's saturday at 7PM, on studio 23. :-) see another side of our great president.. that of being a 'super lola'! hear first hand stories from jiggy about how their lola was so hands on in bringing up her grandchildren that she even gives love advice! or how she loves to cool for the family, spaghetti with meatballs being the favorite dish! or how she really lived a simple, simple life, that like our lolas, just wore duster and local tsinelas at home! tomorrow. :-) please do catch it. :-)

(august 9) good morning, baler! :-) after a six hour bumpy car ride, we are finally here, but wow, it is really beautiful here palaaa! this beautiful view of the sea took away my tiredness. :-) this is why i'm missing the ateneo-la salle game today! i'm sad i'm not watching, but blessed din to have work! i'll be hosting the mutya ng pilipinas 2009 with jericho rosales. we have technical rehearsals lang this afternoon, then we're off to get ready for the big event! the candidates are very pretty, from all over the country and even abroad. i'm not sure when it'll air on tv but it'll be carried by tv5. :-) i'm kinda nervous i must say! wish me luck! and.. go ateneo, one big fight!

(august 9.2) thank you veejay floresca for my lovely gown! :-) for this pageant, veejay made me this lovely beige and gold sweetheart top gown, and another white tube gown with a ruffled skirt. i love veejay! so young, so talented. i used to watch him when he was in project runway season one and i'm so proud of all he has achieved. :-) mutya ng pilipinas 2009 is airing next sunday, late evening, on tv5. too bad my bet didn't win, but deserving din naman the girl who won! i've been asked many times if i have, or if i plan to join beauty pageants.. shucks! me?? no way.. oh my, i'd rather host! hahaha. to be honest, i so don't think i can do what these girls do, they're so courageous to do all that they do! no joke ang guts ng beauty contestant ah.. anyway. :-) goodnight you guys! time to rest!
