(june 16) hello, department of foreign affairs! :-) this is the new dfa building along macapagal ave in manila and i must say, congratulations! its a super nice building, with cold aircon, its super clean, nice lay out, galing! i was extremely lucky to have ate pia cayetano help me get processed through the courtesy lane. i'm so, so, so thankful to her, and her staff ate tess and ate apple who assisted me! so thankful also to the whole staff of the assec. :-) actually the regular process is fast din. you schedule your appointment online. its just the waiting in line that is long, but the actual process of taking your photo, signature, thumbprint, is so fast as in less than ten minutes! :-) the courtesy lane i went through, exactly the same except less waiting time. i'm so excited to get my new passport but i think my photo is super ugly!! bawal bangs so i had to put mine to the side and since its short, it was so pangit! ears out, no smile, and it'll be on my passport for the next how many years!! gaah. hahaha.

(june 17) brainstorming with my talk family!  its usual thursday full day with tfc, pbb, a surprise last gap appearance on uber with me just in my tsinelas (kakahiya!), and cinemanews. had a bit of time to kill while waiting for technical problems to be sorted out, so i hung out at the tv prod office! sakto it was the line up meeting for simply kc at siyempre nakibrainstorm ako with my ideas! haha! i started out in production as a brainstormer anyway. when we say talk unit, that means e live, buzz, snn, simply kc. we share common staff and writers and so we're one big happy family! :-) kakatawa kasi the executive producer ate jas said to put my name sa cbb as guest brainstormer. hahaa!

(june 18) friends, food, and football! :-) spending friday night with friends, having korean food for dinner, with a huge lcd tv right in front of me with the world cup on! ang saya saya! :-) i really never know how to order korean food, like i don't know the names of the dishes i like, but when others order for me i just love eating! oddly, and i really do not understand why, i like the korean food here in manila much, much better than the korean food in korea! both trips, last year with studio 23 and this year for kbs world tv, i mean the food was yummy but not as yummy as the restos here! weird! my favorite is honestly just the plain strips of beef that you cook on your own! they say din kasi diba that food is so much yummier when you sit down and eat with people you love. :-) i believe that talaga so maybe that's why!

(june 19) family bonding time is happiness!!!! after we all did our own thing, toni recorded for asap, mariel had her hair treatment, i watched a short docu, we all came together to do our favorite bonding activity.. eating and chika-ing!!!! :-) and guess what, luis suddenly visited us! sooo sweet! so now super bonding moments! we're eating everything as in everything! salad, noodles, rice, pork, prawn, champorado, the works! :-) the kwentuhan here is priceless. if only there were a reality show about our conversations! my gosh! hahaha.

(june 20) which should i wear to the preview ball? :-) which one do you like? one of my favorite young designers, veejay floresca, sent me three choices for the preview ball.. all look textured, all have different cuts and shapes.. the first one seems like its a classic tube dress in black and white lace, the second looks like its an edgy tube dress in textured neutral fabrics, and the third is a voluminous dress in a metallic material. the theme of the ball is alexander mcqueen, who is also the main theme for their anniversary issue out this month. :-) i will not be a know it all and say i know his style, but reading and researching on it makes me learn more about him. i do know that the wild heel less boot by kermit tesoro that i once wore while pinch hitting for snn was inspired by mcqueen. the ball is july 3 and i gotta decide quick on what to wear! last year for the ball's barbie theme i came as filipinina barbie in black and hot pink by joey samson and won a special award for that night. naks! hahaa. i enjoy going to these events once in a while cause you really see everyone as in everyone in the business. :-) speaking of joey, i also met with him because he will be making me a terno! my first ever terno! mariel and i are honored to have been invited to attend the inauguration of president noy next week and so we need a filipiniana to wear. :-)

(june 21) i love vietnamese food. :-) one of my best friends, henry, who is half viet half pinoy recently opened a resto in makati called ba noi's. super, ultra, mega authentic vietnamese food as in his chef is really vietnamese and a lot of his ingredients like his coffee is really from vietnam! i absolutely loved it!!!! when i went on a trip alone to vietnam a few years back, it was henry and his brother who took me around. it was then that i fell in love with ca phe sua da. vietnamese ice coffee. they have it here, and wow! i was instantly transported back to saigon! sooo yummy! the yummiest ever. it'll rival my absolute favorite jonah's mocha rhum shake from boracay. that's how much i love it. we ate everything from chicken and cabbage salad, to fried spring rolls, to beef pho, to chicken patties, to catfish, i ate sooo much! i will definitely be back here. :-) the place is really small and cozy and will really make you feel like you're in vietnam. super affordable too. if you love viet cuisine, you must try ba noi's. its along perea street in makati, beside union bank. walking distance from greenbelt. in fact, i just walked it kanina from greenbelt to perea!

(june 22) at the dep ed head office now taping for y speak! :-) this saturday's episode is all about the alternative learning system, or those unconventional types of learning that aim to get more people into school. its really inspiring because one major problem in our country is the out of school youth. those who choose to quit school, those who can't go to school because of poverty, or those who aren't sent to school by parents because they would want the children to help with work instead. inspiring to see many students who have already grown old but still choose to finish school, or those who work during the day and attend night school just to fulfill their dream of getting a diploma. a lot of the kids today i feel take school for granted. i wish more students would make the most out of school life because it is definitely the most fun and least stressful time of your life.. yes, believe me!!!! work life, or the real life, is great of course, but less room for mistakes and more pressure. any of you students now? :-) study hard and reward yourselves when you do a good job. :-)

(june 27) i'm finally back on ktxt! haay. so sorry, my phone crashed a few days ago and i finally got a functioning phone today. i missed you all my ktxt friends! thank you to everyone who watched the big night last night! :-) its lilly lilly fun here in the pbb house! :-) all as in absolutely all seasons are represented here, everywhere you look, may housemate! hahaa! and because ryan and ivan are our favorites, we called the two of them to bond with us here in our dressing room nina mariel at toni! grabe tawa kami ng tawa! its so, so, so much fun here. picture galore at tawa galore kami dito. the big five years of pbb is airing tonight.. you'll miss pbb for many, many months after this so please, please watch! :-)

(june 28) this is it. i'm sitting in the make up chair so i can say it is official. please watch snn tonight! i am now officially tito boy's co host on snn. words cannot describe the nervousness and pressure and excitement and nervousness and pressure i am feeling right now! haha. paulit ulit? really. until this very moment, an hour before live, i still can't believe that i was chosen for this. this new position i'm taking in snn, i share equally with my sisters toni and mariel. i am not the host i am today without them. what i know, what i've learned, is greatly because of them!!!! i texted them both earlier that they will be with me in spirit later! i'm not me without them! i can't believe this is all happening! i am thankful to the LoRd, thankful to management, thankful to you my supporters, thankful in general. my hands are so cold right now you can't imagine! i can only promise to do my very best!!!!

(june 29) its such stormy weather!!!! this was my view in the car after two and a half hours of being stuck in traffic from every single road from bf paranaque to here in katipunan! we were almost about to pack up taping for y speak because the weather was so bad! our location was the ateneo football field for our 'pinoy football' episode airing this saturday on y speak. :-) it was really stormy and the rain was so strong and the fields were flooded and the lightning was striking every few minutes! as if like a miracle, when i got to park in ateneo, the sky cleared a bit and we were able to shoot! :-o there was an interview with members of the philippine women's team, and then i did my spiels. nairaos naman! thank you LoRd! this week we are supposed to have a lock in meeting for y speak to plan our future episodes.. if you have comments or suggestions, please tweet the y speak account on our twitter or facebook sites! off now to snn day two. aaaah, i'm still so nervous, wish me luck!!

(june 30) i cannot believe we are actually part of history!!!! this was taken this morning at the inauguration of president noynoy and vice president binay in quirino grandstand.. cannot even describe the feeling of being part of this! thank you of course to ate kris and the aquino siblings who have always been so, so, so nice to me sobra.. and even the lopa and cojuangco clan, super the nicest!!!! i slept over at mariel's place and we got ready together in her place and went to the grandstand together.. we were a bit late pa and we had to walk the whole kalaw street! sitting with us are all our bosses in abs, miss aiai, pokwang, kim, coco, mylene, agot, even dingdong and marian! na close up ata kami ni mariel? ma kept telling me to smile! forever daw smile para forever ready for the camera! haha. looking forward to the next six years of unity, and a positive government! as noel cabangon sang, 'pagka't ako'y isang mabuting pilipinoooo!'
