(feb 16) welcome to the finale of the mega young designers competition 2011!!!  the picture doesnt show it so well but of all the eight finalists, its jearson whose collection i liked most! twas very country and local material inspired, the workmanship was impeccable, and for me his pieces really stood out! he wasnt the winner, i heard, but I must say he's still my favorite among the bunch! everyone had something unique to offer though! I love hearing about young, new designers because seeing what they have to offer is really inspiring and refreshing! I would love to get to wear work of young designers or student designers whether to snn or as a person! super rushing I disagree off from resorts world to abs, to reach in time for a live episode of snn! waaah! I hope its not traffic! if you wanna see what i wore to the event, watch snn because i'll be going straight from this event to the studio! my blush beaded top is by edwin tan, and my white tailored pants are by veejay floresca, who happens to be a product of the mega ydc! ah, and a big highlight of today.. I finally had my hair toned down a bit! it was getting too blonde so I spent this afternoon at alex's salon getting brown highlights to tame the brightness!

(feb 17) be the very first ones to take a peek at the brand new look and set of cinemanews!!! woohoo! yes, we are sooo back! at first when I heard that the location would be on the roof deck of the elj building in abscbn, I had my doubts cause I know that place to be dark, windy, noisy... but so far, at taping, its pretty okay! and i love the lit up letters that serve as the main set! I like it cause its different, and I like the colors a lot! we also reformatted how we do our spiels, I have more on cam lines now, and I think its a welcome change, just to be different and fresh. speaking of fresh, just today I got my latest batch of clothes from meg, and this black dress I'm wearing here is one of them! they sent a few pieces for snn as well. I'm deciding to go for a dress look for cinemanews, para maiba sa pants look ng snn. what do you think? today was a super full day! but the highlight of today was having a great catch up lunch woth toni and mariel after their noontime show!!!

(feb 18) my mom is so cute. i woke up to this note on our whiteboard. we have a whiteboard in our family room where we write down reminders like wake up calls or who called or delivered something to the house or reminders of things we need to do. I never told her of the schedule of games or anything, but I guess she saw it plugged on tv, and ayan, she wrote on the white board this morning.. 'pba live friday 430PM studio 23' I really, really, really found it sweet. she's not just supportive to me but also to people I'm close to! like toni, mariel, luis, even liz, and now jc. cuuuute. it's a free day, errands day today. have sooo much to dooo!!! accountant errands, bank errands, online duties. haha! amazing how a free-from-work-day can be a super busy day! oh by the way, I asked our executive producer in cinemanews about our airing schedule, and it is as follows.. friday 9PM, saturday 2PM, sunday 1PM, monday 6AM and our first episode for 2011 is tonight!

(feb 19) I love art at the park! if I'm not mistaken the art in the park photo I sent for my ktext last year was a photo of me sitting on an extra long swing hanging from a tree? this year Im sending you a photo of a fascinating art installation also on a tree, and if I'm not mistaken its by young designer leeroy new. right under it is a group of violinists playing beautiful music filling the whole park! I swear it really so magical here! I won't claim to be an art collector or an art enthusiast. In fact I do not own any piece of art yet.. I'm not rich enough to invest in it yet! haha. but I do love seeing art. I appreciate it, and I'm a big museum person. when the time comes that I can afford art, I will probably get an ivan acuna painting, a sculpture in brass and a keneth cobonpue centerpiece. when the time comes! ;P haha. loved bumping into so many friends at the park. I actually even had a long chat with gretchen, yes as in the gretchen barreto. I was half starstruck, half happy! she shared her feelings about her upcoming soap, shared about young stars she liked, and a little chismis here and there! she has always been nice to me and for that I'm thankful. oh, and she has gorgeous skin!!!

(feb 20) this picture is titled.. 'angel.. kinakaya mo pa ba ang showbiz??!!' hahaha! meet angel. the super trusty, lovable assistant of my make up artist rb. :-) angel is really so funny, plopped down on the corner here and i just had to take a picture! pano ba naman, rb had a crazy day today. i know they did asap i think for empress and sitti, then they did charlene for the buzz, as well as empress retouch for the buzz too. then they ran to me for snn. then after this they are running all the way to antipolo to do the five finalists for star power! kalokaaaa dibaaaa?? rb is the real supergirl, not me! although i always get mad at rb. i tell her na tao lang siya and she shouldn't spread herself so thinly. i advised her to take at least one day off every week, to be able to rest! you know there's hardly a day that rb doesn't have a raket before going to snn? hardly! we call her lagari queen because normal sa kanya ang three to four rakets a day. i keep telling her of course its good to have work and earn, but its also a must to get some rest! :-) hope you all have a happy if not restful sunday! :-)

(feb 21) its a free day monday today! free day, but I still try as much as possible to get a lot accomplished. sharing with you this very sweet set up by my nanay virgie at home.. I simply asked for corned beef and pandesal as a little snack for us.. when I got out, I already was this mini table setup with the food and two chairs, in the middle of the room! aba! parang pangdate I told her! kulang na lang a lit candle! hahaha. nakakatawa talaga si virgie. oh by the way friends, I already asked about the difference of our ktext, exactly like this, and the new one being plugged now with is starget. okay.. ktxt is more expensive, I think 2.50 or 5.00 with a photo, but its really a long journal. as in my long ktxts with photo pa. starget is only P1, but its also just one line that abs interactive will grab from twitter, or one line they will grab from ktxt. so of course its up to you which you'll choose, but I can promise naman that I make my ktxt sulit by making it really long and full of kwento

(feb 22) I have a new sponsor.. aryan contact lenses! can you tell? tonight on snn, I'm wearing the black-gray lens. what do you think? truth to be told. I'm not a fan of contact lenses. at all. first, because I have 20/20 vision and no need for contacts. second, because I look so filipina, I feel it'll look so fake on me if I have colored eyes! its toni and mariel who are super fond of wearing contacts.. not me! especially when our lines in pbb are long and hard, anti contacts ako at kami kasi baka dahil sa blurry effect, magkamali mali kami sa sasabihin! haha. but I have been doing snn for half a year now and I'm thinking subtle changes are good, para at least maiba, at para may inaabangang bago ang mga tao.. I'm trying out these contact lenses by aryan! they sponsor mariel too. had a very fulfilling pilates class today! my instructor has noticed a significant change in my body awareness and in my awareness of my posture. that's a good thing! because I'm really kuba and that's bad.  plus I have scoliosis, as in my prime curves at the center part of my back, and so far pilates has been working in strengthening my body to help me to stand up better!

(feb 23) hello from our sense and style shoot! in the picture, I'm with felicity son of kiehl's who did my hair, and of course rb for my make up. plus I'm wearing the beautiful creation of designer eric de los santos! isn't it beautiful?? I love how the royal blue color really stands out!! I often wear eric's creation on snn, so when sense and style decided to do their power issue, featuring ten different designers and their muses, they paired me and eric together and I instantly said yes!!!! eric is a talented young accountancy major from iloilo. he once joined a bridal expo in iloilo and was spotted by none other than rajo laurel, who instantly told eric to come to manila to apprentice under him. and as they say, the rest is history! I'm so kilig because eric said he has booked so many clients because they hear me acknowledge him on snn. in fact, the glamorous cindy yang, wife of kenneth yang as in owners of mcdonalds, and sister of tim yap, ordered from eric because of something I wore on snn! I was soo kilig to hear that story grabe!!! other pairs are veejay floresca with muse divine lee, martin bautista with muse isabelle daza and charina sarte with muse georgina wilson. so excited to see the issue come out!

(feb 24) priceless. that is how I would describe this captured moment between me and someone I consider to be a brother, luis. aaaaw, thanks to roch of both snn and elive for taking this photo! I had a craaaaaaaaaaazy long day. craaaaaaazy looooooong! just when I thought my thursday couldn't get any longer, it just did! haha! okay so I had my taping for tfc connect. then right after I had to squeeze in an snn confession with the gorgeous anne curtis for her upcoming movie. then as seen in this picture, I had to interview her leading man in the movie, luis manzano! right after I rushed to do voice overs and tape for cinemanews, which by the way is no joke because the show is now much longer and there are so much vtrs compared to last year, so talagang paguran ng lalamunan!! then of course I had snn taping for friday episode. then snn live. phewwww! thank you Lord for helping me survive today! haha, rb even joked me na talo ko daw ang pagka lagari queen niya today. hahahaha. the snn confessions will air next week, in time for the opening of their movie. its always a pleasure to interview anne, her aura is just infectious and I love how she has absolutely no pretentions. and of course, interviewing luis is always a riot!! I really love luis to bits!!

(feb 25-26) my phone died! As in died! It just died and wouldn't turn on! My poor E52!!! It has all my photos and numbers. Hassle. Died before I could send a ktxt last night! Waah!!! Now using my N8 but still figuring out how to use it. I type so slow here! Will send a longer ktxt when I can type faster! Happy weekend!

(feb 27) still trying to figure out the N8! I'm not really a fan of touchscreen cause I find it soooo hard to text, but I love the features of this phone! this is a beaaautiful painting I saw on display in rockwell, it was an exhibit by young artist clarissa ortiz, a girl diagnosed with down's syndrome. Despite her condition, her parents home schooled her and discovered that one of her talents is painting. They enrolled her in painting and this is one of her beautiful works. This jumped out at me because it reminds me so much of my sister and I!!!! For the longest time it was my sister who had brown hair, and I had black hair and we'd call ourselves blackie and brownie. As soon as I saw this painting, I fell in love with it. I wanted to but it. Sadly, it was already sold. I waaant it! I want to display it in the room I used to share with my sister. I suddenly missed her!
