(jan 1) happy new year from rocotoy!!!! :-) this first day of the year was THE perfect day. :-):-):-):-) i'm so, so, so thankful to the LoRd. i may be sick, but i'm happy and content and peaceful. i spent post countdown last night reading a book and enjoying a glass of wine. i fell asleep mid morning and woke up late morning. the last time i did not go out after countdown was way back in high school!!!! ever since college, i've spent all night after countdown with my friends! it was different, but it was peaceful. i woke up late morning and enjoyed a nice, long lunch with my mom in the mall, then walked around and did errands before heading home. i pushed myself to do a light jog to start the year right, and it felt so good! got ready to meet up with tracy and roco as they had to kill time between arriving from davao and leaving for san francisco. had a good few minutes of quality time with roco that i cherished every second of!!!! who knows when i will see the joy of our lives again? :-) head home and now relaxing and will pick up where i left off with my book. i resumed reading 'how the world makes love' by franz wisner. :-) LIFE IS SO GOOD AND GOD IS SO GOOD!!!! :-) here's looking forward to a beautiful 2011! may we all have a happy year ahead, filled with peace and love! :-)

(jan 2) hello everyone! its the first sunday of the year and while everyone is dreading going back to york tomorrow, i'm off to work today! haha! i'm wearing a floral blazer with exaggerated shoulders from meg clothing, a blue sando from garage, black skinny jeans from topshop, and black and gold flats from nine west. :-) it was a very steady sunday today, started out the day by hearing mass with my mom, having a nice, quiet lunch at home, then enjoying some tv and internet time together bumming in her room. sooo happy also because today i got to bake again! i honestly haven't baked anything since my sister left for london, sort of felt sad because its something we usually do together, but today i baked and i was so happy!!!! :-) oatmeal and chocolate chip cookies was the recipe for today. i love how my fingers smell like butter and sugar and vanilla, and how when you open the oven, the whole kitchen gets filled with a yummy, warm, sweet smell! baking is probably one of my hobbies that i will try to be more active with this year. :-) how about you? what hobby of yours will you revive this year? :-)

(jan 3) its a steady monday! :-) i'm wearing a royal blue chiffon top from topshop, bright orange skirt from meg clothing, beige lace flats from topshop. how is everyone? its just a simple errands day today. thanks to my mom who always, always helps me with the errands i need to do.. like today she brought my car to honda for its bi annual check up. its my mom who attends to it all the time and for that i super thank her! :-) i also got some reading done today. those of you who know me know that i'm a frustrated reader! i wish i were the type who read voraciously but honestly every few pages i get sleepy and a lot of times actually fall asleep! read a whole chunk of this book i'm trying to finish, the male version of 'eat pray love', which is 'drink play f@#k'. i finished the chapter on vegas which is the play part, play as in gambling! its an interesting book because you really get insight into the male mind. i hope i finish the book soon so i can move on to 'the happiness project', a book i want to buy and load into my ipad! :-)

(jan 4) making a blog is hard to doooo! so much time, effort, and love goes into writing a blog post! that's why it takes so long for me before i can post again. and i want each post to be a meaningful one, and not just one for the sake of posting. one of the hardest posts to write is this, the people of my year post! last time i did this was end of 2008. it was a hit then, and i'm hoping it'll be a hit this year again! :-) first of all, i need all my goods in front of me. laptop, cup of coffee, water, snacks, remote control for the tv, and yes that's medicine you see! i'm still trying to get better! next. its very, very tough to choose the ten people out of hundreds and thousands of people who touched your life in one year. its really tough! then, you have to spend hours online choosing the perfect photos to compliment your post, as well as a lot of time cropping, color correcting, and laying out! lastly, but definitely the toughest part, writing in the most concise, most entertaining, and most heartwarming way possible, your mini tribute to the person who made a difference in your life. :-) i highly encourage all of you who blog, or write, to write your own people of your year list. it'll mean a lot to those who will be surprised that they made such an impact in your life. :-)

(jan 5) aaw, ang saya saya ng dressing room ko today!!!! :-) a surprise visit from three of my loves! left most with the super cool hair is jet valle, jet is my mother jet who honestly originally discovered me that's why i'm in this industry! from being a student slash part time model slash part time brainstormer at abs, jet was the one who asked me if i wanted to try out tv! to this day i'm thankful because mother jet believed in me and pushed me to do better every single time. :-) in the middle looking dashing is my good friend franco who i hardly see! i fondly call him frankiefashion! those of you who know me from years back know that did a showbiz news show of my own on studio 23 called blog! franco was my stylist way back when! franco is one of the kindest souls i know. :-) on the right with the super sweet smile is jamie, who everyone calls jamielicious, because mariel came up with the nickname and it clicked! jamie is my sweet, maalaga handler, very much a gentle giant, fixes all our schedules and makes sure we are where we're purposed to be when it comes to work. :-) tadaaaa! so happy you got to sort of 'meet' some important people in my life. so nice of them to just suddenly pop up! :-)

(jan 6) check out this super cool lomo type photo!!!! this was taken by my phone lang. :-) the secret? i was in the shade, but the sunshine was directed towards the lens of the phone camera. tadaaaa! how interesting is that?! :-p i was actually only supposed to tweet all about my new years resolution.. but then this cool photo came out so i'm sending it to you! :-) my resolution is to drink 1000mg of vitamin c every morning to boost my immune system! i swear! i'm so anti getting sick or feeling sick this 2011. my choice brand is fern c. i hate not being productive because of feeling sick. no, no, no! i hope this works out for me. :-) its my usual busy thursday but less busy for the month of january, because this month, cinema news will be on break! not sure what cinema one will air in its place, but usually talaga every january is the break month of the show. we'll be back soon! meantime, get your fill of entertainment news from snn, as well as e live and the buzz! :-)

(jan 7) one of my most favorite things to eat.. taho! :-) ever since i was young, every morning when the magtataho passes our streets shouting 'tahoooo!', even half awake i get up to say magpapabili ako ng taho. i'm so happy that powerplant mall in rockwell has a special authentic taho seller by the floor of the restaurants! not those posh taho stands with fancy chillers. the regular taho vendor with the silver tin cans. winner! :-) although mahal, P25 a cup, panalong panalo naman sa sarap. you can enjoy your dinner at whichever resto you want, then have good ol' taho for dessert! hahaha. decided to watch 'si agimat at si enteng kabisote' today. i'm not a big fan of bong revilla movies, i mean this with no offenses at all, but i am a fan of the enteng kabisote series so i was game to watch! i must say it was pretty entertaining! i'm happy that though equal exposure ang agimat at enteng, the flavor of comedy of vic sotto was still dominant. i think its a movie kids and their parents can enjoy together. may action at may comedy, very pinoy! :-) for those asking about my review of rosario, i think its pretty good! i like the story very much, you'll gain a lot of insight watching the film. not the best local period film, but worth your money. some elements of the film still a bit raw for my taste, but i do applaud yul servo and sid lucero for a great job acting in the film. i can say its the most unique entry for this filmfest, so if you're looking for something different, watch it. :-)

(jan 8) i absolutely love my red colored tom's! they have so much character! :-) my first pair of tom's were black, then i got beige, then gray, then my latest one is this red one! i love how the color just pops out at you! for those of you who don't own a pair, i suggest you try one out. its one of the most comfortable shoes on this earth i swear!!!! in fact, it was my christmas gift of choice to some important people in my work life, and i'm so kilig because they super love it and they always wear it!!!! :-) best thing about tom's is its like your favorite pair of rubber slippers. the more you wear it the more it follows the shape of your foot! meaning the more you wear it, the cumfier it gets! i absolutely love espadrilles kasi, and tom's i feel are like a modern take on tom's! to top it all off, tom's is a social project. for every pair you buy, a kid in south america gets a pair of shoes on his or her feet as well! i swear its a perfect product. :-) and no, i am in no way endorsing tom's, i just absolutely love the product and want to spread the word! :-)

(jan 9) a super, super, super long overdue get together, finally happened!!!! dinner with my dear sister toni and my love liz!!!! :-) how fun is that?!?! :-) and to all those who might be thinking any malicious thoughts, no, liz is in no way 'replacing' mariel in a friendship of three people, and in no way can mariel be replaced! liz and toni met recently at a party and it just so happened that i've been wanting to fix dinner with toni for so, so, so long, and at the same time toni and i were free, liz was free too so we all got together! :-) toni having come from the buzz live, i came from snn taping, and liz came from her own errands. its so much fun to catch up and figure out how small the world really is!! i swear.. the world is so small!!!! we keep counting how many degrees of separation we all have from each other and its crazy in how many ways we are connected! crazy talaga! and girls will be girls, even on a steady sunday night, we're all wearing killer heels! toni in super nice army green and brown tory burch booties, liz in a beautiful brown woven alaia pair, and me in a dainty pale pink miumiu pair. we actually transferred location three times! one for dinner, next place for dessert, last place for drinks and buying more time to catch up! :-) talked about everything from relationships, to showbiz gossip, to fashion, to politics, lahat! hahaha. oh, as a post note, please do grab a copy of preview this month, with liz on the cover! this is liz's copy, i have yet to get my own! :-)

(jan 10) i dated my last two ktxts dec 8 and dec 9! sorry i meant jan! hahahaha! peace! :-p its a monday free day!!!! :-) woohoo! first totally free day in a long, long time! i'm wearing a polka dot top from forever 21, gartered jeans from cotton on, and this super cool tote i got from my darling friend jigs mayuga, its a lanvin x h&m for unicef tote bag! i love ittt! i told him i wanted him to bring me pasalubong from milan na lanvin x h&m, and he did me one better by getting this bag from the line specifically made to benefit unicef! i love the way alber elbaz does his sketches. its so kitschy! its like a super precise way of doodling. ang galing galing talaga! :-) anyway, spending this day bumming around at the mall, running errands, window shopping, and just hanging out. thankfully its also a super free day for liz today, so super mall rats lang talaga kami today! :-) i was saying that's the great thing about my work schedule, that everyone dreads mondays because its the first work or school day, and me i love it cause its a free day! liz was saying that that's the great thing about her being freelance, she can pretty much control her schedule! have a great week ahead everyone! :-)

(jan 11) its both a steady but productive south day today! :-) we're all like kids again today.. while in the house, we heard a bell ringing outside, we all rushed to the window to shout 'ice cream!' hahaha! check out my mom choosing her flavors by the cart! cute! :-) haha. i have always, always been a huge fan of street food. from dirty ice cream to taho, to fish ball and kwek kwek, to isaw and hotdog. ang saya saya! for some reason eating dirty ice cream brings me back to my childhood. :-p i say productive day because it may be a steady south day, but today i did pilates, and i ran too! i'm feeling very active and in shape today. my goal is to lose very few pounds, like maybe three pounds, only cause i feel like my pants are getting tighter!! hahaha! what do you think, should i lose a bit of weight or is my weight now more bagay? sometimes i don't know! i never weigh myself, i just base it on how my clothes fit. :-p

(jan 12) the cover girl signs her cover! woohoo! :-) please do support my boyfriend liz and grab a copy of the january-february issue of preview magazine! not to sound biased but its actually a very good issue! titled 'what's next', its all about the trends to watch this year, and its just filled with such beautiful photos that are just so inspiring! its a super steady, fun, random afternoon with liz and tim. :-) maaga-agang inuman! red wine and tapas at 3PM, with so, so, so much kwentos.. ang saya lang! :-) our friend robby was supposed to join us but wasn't feeling so well.. but then ang ending, tim has a doctor's appointment for this afternoon, and so trip trip lang,sumama kaming lahat to support! hahaha! sobrang laugh trip diba? :-) ayun, we were all in the clinic, super ingay, nagkwekwentuhan at nagchichikahan! super laugh trip! i swear. i think the four of us just totally hit it off because liz and i are the random na steady lang kahit anong trip game, and tim and robby naman are the random na super laugh trip at hyper! :-)

(jan 13) soooobrang nakakatuwa naman ang mcdonald's crew!!!! sobra! as in over over ika nga ni melai, at major major ika nga ni venus raj! hahaha! i went to drive thru and by the time i left the first window to order, the last window where i claimed my order looked like this! haha. picture daw sabi nila sa akin, so i whipped out my phone and told them, 'eh di dapat picturan ko din kayo!' hahaha! ayun, all smiles at game na game sila! nakakatuwa ang service. :-) may kasama pa yang chika asking kailan daw ang pbb at kung pwede ba daw sila maging housemate. cuuuute! :-) today was a super full but super fun day. got to do sooo many errands in the morning from the bank to my eyebrows to accountant papers, then head to work. super steady day at work with lots of tambay time at the tv prod office! that's the best! i go from desk to desk just saying hi to people, giving hugs, catching up.. from the talk unit side of sir louie to the reality unit side of direk lauren! its like a second home up there, i love it. :-)

(jan 14) we love shoessss! :-) check out my tan strappy platform heel and liz's hot animal print heel! :-) not to mention my tutti frutti colored toenails. :-p hahahahaha! today was a very, very, very steady day! spent the day just bumming around the mall, then went home to run while watching my favorite reality shows like top model, then head out at night to meet up with liz! something about wearing heels that boosts a girl's confidence ten notches up. i'm not really sure why, but i guess its everything put together.. the height, then knowing you have a work of art on your feet, the height.. haha! liz has a funny quote about heels.. 'nabibili ang height'.. tamaaaa! haha. i don't know when exactly i started getting into shoes.. i think it was four years ago when i started e live. i wasn't much of a shoe person before, but then being on a show that always had full shot showing the shoes, i knew i had to start investing in shoes for work! i grew to love it and now i absolutely am obsessed with beautiful shoes! :-)

(jan 15) this is what the globe myfi i've been raving about looks like! :-) oh, its awesomeness the size of your palm. anywhere i go i just turn it on and i can connect my laptop to the internet, or my phone, or my ipad, all at the same time!!!! i know this sounds like such an ad but its not. i'm just really in awe with this amazing little product! :-) it all started when i discovered it through liz's tweet. i asked her about it and she hooked me up with the fabulous dong ronquillo of globe, who so generously hooked me up with my own unit! woohoo! i even gave it as a christmas gift to a few important people in my life! unlike the other broadband connections that you stick through a usb, this you just charge and tadaaaa! wireless internet! amazing! :-) its a very steady saturday, i'm actually currently hooked on this series called dirty sexy money! been watching three episodes a day for the past three days and i didn't know it was so cool! i always see it in star world but never paid attention to it, but if you watch it from the pilot episode of season one, you'll get hooked! :-) my favorite characters are jeremy and brian junior! if you watch the series you'll know why!
